MV Lord of the Glens ascends a tier of six locks at Fort Augustus, emerging into Loch Oich, where there are views of gentle tree-carpeted shores; and to Loch Lochy, edged with mountains. Arriving at Banavie, the ship descends through the eight locks of Neptune's Staircase for wonderful views of Ben Nevis at Fort William, from where a journey on the West Highland Line crosses the Glenfinnan Viaduct. After a visit to the famous monument at the head of Loch Shiel, return to Corpach where MV Lord of the Glens moors overnight.
